    Handsome Boy Modeling School

I've been listening to San Francisco native Dan the Automator's new Handsome Boy Modeling School album - it's hot.

It captures you, makes you giggle, and gets your groove on --good for those with short attention spans.

Plus, it features a great line-up with De La Soul, Del the Funky Homosapien, Qbert, Grand Wizard Theodore, Mike Shinoda and Jazzy Jay.

Track 9 is a wonderful example of pure aural satisfaction - the song flows from socially conscious rap -- exclaiming that there "seems like there's too much Pac, we don't need it" -- to Shinoda's nu-metal to scratching.

For those that fear hip-hop is a dying mass media art, you have to listen to his album. And check out the Handsome Boy Modeling School concert on Jan. 7th at 9 p.m. at The Fillmore. Tickets are $20 admission, available on Ticketmaster soon.
